1. In your opinion, which of the stories of the last week was most important to you?

I believe governmental health care is going to cost more in the long run for all who pay taxes. There is nothing for free.

2. Which of the stories over the last week has the most potential importance for the U.S.?

The North Koreans feel that their rights are being threatened by the United Nations, and North Korea is probably prepared to gamble all they have in order to back that threat against the U.S..

3. In each of theses cases, how should the US or its people respond to this event? How will you respond?

a. I think that Iran should learn from their own mistakes, and President Obama need not opologize to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

b. North Korea has the right to defend themselves against any opressor, I feel we should approach them with extreme caution. We should take North Koreas threat against us seriously, and our government should not try to regulate what North Korea feels necessary in order to secure their place in this world.

c. Health care for everyone will cost more money out of pocket for all who pay taxes. I believe ou government should step in and regualte the medical rates the insurance companies, hospitals, and doctors are charging. The bottom line of all of this is, our goverment is guilty of overcharging the tax payers for anything the government controls. I say no to governmental health care.

d. The death of Michael Jackson is tragic and he will be missed by many, but the amount of news coverage about his death has gone on too long.

Personally I will continue to remain informed on all matters, and I plan to write my Congress person on issues that I have strong opinions on. I will also vote when I have the opportunity to do so in order to make my voice heard.

4. Besides thes stories, choose another story that caught your attention over the last week and give us your take on it.

The story about Bernard Madoff made me wonder whether our govermnet will hold fast to this sentencing they gave him, or like so many others he will be release after serving a fraction of the time. I believe his estate should be liquidated to pay back the people he robbed.
